Summer League Rules & Format

– Summer league will be held at The Harpeth Hall School on their TURF field and begin Wednesday JUNE 5th. Running every Wednesday until JULY 31st, with a bye week JULY 3rd. There will be 6 regular season weeks with a two week playoff.

– Teams will be made up of 20-25 man rosters. Rosters will be built based off of requested teammates and with an effort to make all teams competitive. Players may request up to 6 preferred teammates. Players must be +18 (17 with a guardian waiver). 

– All games will have qualified officials and score table. The league will use men’s NCAA/MCLA rules with a 80 second shot clock. With the addition of a 2 point arc! There will be faceoffs after every goal scored, and to begin each half.

– Games will be 2 – 20minute running time halves with a 5 minute half time. Games will start at 6:30pm, 7:15pm, and 8pm.

– Weather Policy: Games will be played in the rain, unless the school closes the field. Only Lightening / Thunderstorms or Severe weather will result in games being delayed/canceled. In the event of multiple cancelations, a credit to future leagues will be issued. There will NOT be cash refunds.

Rules
– Games will be 2 x 20 minute running halves with a 5 minute half time. 
– Men’s NCAA/MCLA rules: with an 80 second shot clock. Plus the addition of a 2 point arc. Which will be the highest arc of the women’s lines that are on the field (15 yards). 
– :20 seconds to clear the ball, no box touch required. Mid line is open until :60 seconds on the shot clock.
– MAX 4 poles on the field at a time
– Penalties will be normal times (:30 or :60 seconds) and releasable, unless it is egregious contact to the head or a defenseless player. 
– Each team gets ONE stick check per game. Illegal sticks will be 1 minute non-releasable. Calling a stick check that does not result in an illegal stick will be a :30 second delay penalty on the team that called for it. 
– Games will have 2 refs at them: We will have a couple of newer/younger refs who are still in training, so please be respectful and take it easy on them
– Teams will get 1 timeout per half, which DOES NOT stop the clock, and cannot be called in the last 2 minutes of each half
– There is a ZERO Alcohol policy enforced by the school. Please do not bring anything onto campus. It is in our rental agreement, and I’ve been warned personally, that any alcohol on campus will result in the leagues reservation being canceled without refund. Don’t be that guy.
